Clear, fair terms for project cancellations and refund eligibility across all our digital services.
This Cancellation and Refund Policy sets out the terms under which clients of BRATA MEDIA PRESS may cancel a project or service engagement and the conditions under which refunds may be issued. This policy applies to all digital services provided by BRATA MEDIA PRESS including website design and development, software development, mobile application development, digital marketing, SEO, press release services, e-commerce development, IoT, blockchain development, and IT consultancy. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.
BRATA MEDIA PRESS delivers highly customised, labour-intensive digital services. Once work has commenced on a project, significant resources — including skilled professional time, infrastructure costs, and third-party fees — are committed on your behalf. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both parties, reflecting the nature of bespoke digital service delivery.
Key Principle: Advance payments secure our team's time and resources. Refund eligibility decreases proportionally as work progresses. Clear written communication is required for all cancellation requests.
The following are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances:
To cancel a project or service engagement, you must:
Cancellations communicated verbally (in-person or by phone) are not valid without subsequent written confirmation. The date of written cancellation is used to calculate the refund schedule below.
For fixed-price web development, software development, mobile app, and e-commerce projects:
| Stage of Cancellation | Refund of Advance Paid | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Before project kickoff (within 48 hours of payment) | 100% refund | Less any third-party costs already incurred |
| Before project kickoff (after 48 hours, before work starts) | 75% refund | Less any processing fees |
| During discovery/planning phase (0–10% work complete) | 50% refund | Less completed work costs |
| During design phase (10–30% complete) | 25% refund | Less completed work costs |
| During development phase (30–60% complete) | No refund | Additional invoice may apply for work beyond advance |
| Post-development, testing, or delivery phase (>60% complete) | No refund | Full remaining balance remains due |
The percentage of project completion shall be determined in good faith by BRATA MEDIA PRESS based on man-hours expended, deliverables produced, and milestones reached.
Monthly retainer-based marketing services (including SEO, social media management, PPC management) may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. No refunds are issued for the current month's retainer. Advance payments for multi-month packages are refundable on a pro-rata basis for uncompleted months, less any third-party ad spend already committed.
Press release writing fees are refundable at 50% if cancelled before the first draft is delivered. Once a draft has been provided and/or the press release has been submitted for distribution, the fee becomes non-refundable in full.
Consultancy sessions that have taken place are non-refundable. Prepaid consultancy blocks may be cancelled with 14 days' notice; unused sessions will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
Monthly maintenance packages may be cancelled with 14 days' written notice. Annual packages may be cancelled with a pro-rata refund for months remaining, less a 15% administrative fee and less the cost of any maintenance work performed during the contract period.
Logo, branding, and UI/UX design engagements cancelled before the first draft delivery are refundable at 50% of the project fee. No refund is available once the first draft has been presented to the Client.
BRATA MEDIA PRESS reserves the right to cancel any project or engagement and issue a full refund of unearned advance payments in the following circumstances:
In the event of cancellation by us without cause, we will refund 100% of any advance payments received for unperformed work within 14 business days.
If you are dissatisfied with the quality of our deliverables, we encourage you to raise the issue in writing before initiating a cancellation. We are committed to resolving quality concerns through additional revisions, remedial work, or partial credits as appropriate. All disputes relating to refunds shall be subject to the dispute resolution provisions in our Terms & Conditions.
Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
